In 1996 I began putting a little "movie" strip on the Internet. I chose stills of actors from old movies then put ironic questions and quotes in their mouths. My desire was to juxtapose familiar and unfamiliar. I wanted to create the same kind of incongruity in my comics as exists in the world around us. I chose humor as my venue because humor provides temporary release from the unrelenting seriousness of life. If we can’t laugh at our deepest convictions and most sacred experiences then we will probably find reasons to fight and kill for them. I would rather we laughed together. I invite you to stay as long as you like. You may, of course, leave now. The Internet is one place where freedom of choice reigns. I hope you will choose to spend some time here and laugh with me.
